What is Hyrox?

Hyrox has quickly become one of the most popular fitness races in the world — though our classes are not just for those who are entering a Hyrox race,  anyone can do them to get a flavour of what it's about. The actual Hyrox race combines functional exercises with running, in a way that’s both challenging and achievable. At HIIT West Hampstead, we make Hyrox training fun, approachable and perfectly suited for people of all fitness levels.

  • Beginner friendly training approach - you don’t need years of competitive training to prepare for Hyrox. Our workouts focus on simple but effective exercises like rowing, sled pushes, lunges and wall balls — movements that anyone can learn and progress with over time. We guide members through each step, ensuring proper technique and steady improvement.

  • Building strength and endurance together - Hyrox combines running with functional fitness stations, which means the best way to train is a mix of cardio and strength exercises. At our gym, you’ll find programs that balance both — whether that’s circuit-style classes, running, or strength workouts designed to improve stamina and confidence.

  • Supportive community atmosphere - one of the best parts about Hyrox training is the community spirit. You won’t be training alone. Our members encourage and motivate each other, creating an environment that’s welcoming for beginners and rewarding for those looking to push their limits.

  • Preparing for the big day - if you're lucky enough to have got a ticket, our classes will prepare you; from pacing your runs to practicing transitions between exercises, we make sure you feel ready when race day comes. We also share nutrition tips, recovery advice, and mindset strategies to help you get the most out of your Hyrox experience — whether your goal is simply to finish, set a personal best or see if you could handle a Hyrox event in the future.

HYROX isn’t just for athletes — it’s for anyone who wants to challenge themselves, improve their fitness and have fun along the way.

We run HYROX classes twice a week on Fridays and Sundays at 6pm. It's included in your HIIT membership so you don't need to purchase any additional memberships or credit packs. Visit our timetable to book your first HYROX class today.

  • Can you do a HYROX class if you're not training for an event?

Yes - all our Hyrox classes are suitable for individuals without any training experience, as our coaches can help to tailor the classes for any ability.

Hyrox classes are great for those who want to learn more about Hyrox while trying the exercises in a beginner friendly, fun format.

  • Do I need to be fit or be able to run to do a HYROX class?

Hyrox events are designed to be the event for everybody, and our classes have been designed to be suitable for all levels, whether you are training to compete or just want to try something new.

Our coaches can help to ensure that all members get the most of the classes, no matter what your ability is.

  • Will HYROX classes help me prepare for the race?

Yes – our Hyrox classes are a great way to prepare for a Hyrox event. These classes are specifically designed to help improve technique, strength, and endurance across the eight exercises in a Hyrox competition.
